Love.

Just when you think you know love
something little comes along
to remind you
how
big
it is.
Love you Babe.

Weekend Warriors.

We are weekend warriors.

Not often do we get to celebrate weekends.
Blake--a nurse. Me--a retail champion.
However, on the rare occasion we both have multiple days off with each other, we try to do something fun together.
So, when Blake and I were welcomed with a 3-day weekend to spend with one another, we couldn't wait to get out of the house.
We spent the weekend with family and some new friends up the Uintah mountains.
Of course, we took Indiana.
Her first camping trip.
She wasn't quite sure what to think of it...
But when she finally got her feet right...She rather enjoyed the views and the water.
It was a great weekend.The Uintah mountains are truly beautiful and filled with peace.
A great treasure to our state of Utah.
It was so nice to get away from it all.
I only wish we could be weekend warriors more often.

Its a House Project.

So...We recently did a lot of work on our home
Getting it to where we can be satisfied for a while.
There's definitely some more things we want to get done.
I'd like to paint eventually...Get some plants, lamps, and more shelving up throughout the house.
For now...We're wanting to relax for a while.
Enjoy our home...And save up some money.
Our next project...Fencing the backyard.
Yikes!
Anyways, here's some things we've been up to:
The Family Room.We did some touch up patching and painting of the walls, then we hung up some wall art.
I love it. Its a calming room.
~~~
My Kitchen.What is my favorite part about this room?
My cabinets and my Tin Man, of course.
~~~
Our kitchen dining area.I made the centerpiece from random clearance items I found at Walmart.
Blake picked out the key hanger and flower metal art. I think it looks great on that wall.
~~~
Our entryway.I love my little African statues. Enough said about that.
~~~
Blake's Den.Blake took those pictures of Chicago on our vacation last year.
They turned out so neat. I was so excited to finally get them framed.
We also did some patching and painting of this room as well.
The paint is actually a glaze, which is kind of fun (and frustrating) texturizing the walls with.
Blake also got his TV mounted. It was a pretty amazing project.
He mounted it within a door frame.
Blake drilled from inside the door frame up into the dead space underneath the stairs.
That way the entire door frame is the anchor for this TV.
That TV isn't going anywhere. Good job, babe.
Indiana's playroom underneath the TV is pretty dang cool too.
Its has lights and everything.
She loves it.
~~~
Blake's Den Bathroom.I bought a wreath and some old picture frames from the D.I.
Mounted them on the wall as is...Nothing more, nothing less.
I'm good with it.
Simple. Just how Blake wanted.
~~~
The upper stairway.
We did some patching and painting here as well.On one of the walls, the people before us took crayon and created a horrific Dora the Explorer map. Don't ask me why...It's just that weird.
Anyways...I found this amazing sketch to put there.We painted...And painted...And hung up this amazing piece.
It looks great. I only wish I could sketch like that.
~~~
Anyways...That's where we're at right now.
Hopefully we'll have the fence up soon.
I want to be able to let Indiana outside without using that annoying leash of hers.
We'll keep you posted.
Wedding Pics!
Ha!
How many of you have your wedding photographer still working hard for you after three years!?
And just because she wants to...
I dare say....None of you! None!
Jillian Koecher Photography.
She's pretty much amazing and has done so many pictures for us.
I can't wait to have some more photo sessions with her.
She's the greatest!
In her spare time, she's been working on some of our old wedding pics...Simply because she's just that awesome.
Check them out!
9-14-10.
Not only is this the most perfect day of the year because it is the day that we wed...
Three years ago.
But....
It is also the day that only the most anticipated gaming experience ever known to man will arrive (I'm talking literally-man...not-mankind).
Halo.
Reach.
Its true...NFL Network said so.
And they don't lie.
Do they?
And Blake...Yes. You can have it.
Please don't even ask.
And Blake...Yes.
You can stay up all night long playing online with your boyfriends.
Because now you have your own room.
And I'll be two stories above.
G-Night.
Wine.
I really wish we had a working camera to post some pics...
Last night we had a wine and cheese pairing party.
It was the perfect opportunity to get everyone together and introduce them to our new home.
Dang...It has been a lot of work for Blake and I.
Patching...Painting...Wiring...Hanging...
Weeding...Trimming back trees...Everything...
It was worth it.
Last night was fabulous.
10 bottles of wine and 3 bottles of sparkling cider.
Absolutely no food left over.
And a floor in desperate need of a mop.
It was a really great time for us to just take a night off and relax,
enjoy our home with wonderful family and amazing friends.
We're so grateful for all of you.
Thank You.
