Why are you hurting.

Gregory broke his leg.
The day after we got home from Seattle.
You see...
It's a tragedy.
My sister's dog is staying with my parents right now.
Boxer.
We made the mistake of not introducing him to our ferrets.
My bad.
I take responsibility.
Gregory escaped.
Flash found him.
Snapped his leg and shredded his quadricep.
We had to go into surgery.
He's going to be okay.
He can't run around for 8 weeks and its making him absolutely miserable.
Our poor little Greg-o.
I love him so much.
It cost us over $1,000 to get him better.
It came down to either paying up or saying goodbye.
I don't regret our decision.
Not at all.
He was worth it.

Pike's Place-Day 6 1/2.

Pike's Place.
Very cool.
Very, very cool.
We purchased some jam and blueberry syrup.
Yum.
We also picked up a custom magnet to add to our collection.
Its my very favorite magnet we've ever selected from our travels.
I'm excited to throw it up on the board!

Tom-Day 6.

Tom Petty was amazing.
Being on row 17 was fantastic.
There's nothing more to say about it...
Next time I have to be closer. Have to be.
After the concert he hung out for a while just signing things for his fans.
Ugh...I was so jealous!
I want to meet him so bad! Shake his hand!
Get his signature!
Something!

...Dear Tom,

I Love You.

Keep rocking.

Love,
Jessica.
P.S.
Blake loves you too.

Airplanes and Kayaks-Day 5. Oh My!

Friday...
Such an amazing day!

We started it off by meeting up with an old friend of mine from high school that I haven't seen in literally six years or so.
I was so excited to see my good friend Devon and meet his amazingly-beautiful and sweet wifey, Shannon.
I totally wish we lived closer to these guys.
The company was so great!
Hopefully we can come visit them in Japan after they move! Lol, someday!!

After breakfast we headed over to the Museum of Flight.Blake loves the airplanes.
I will admit...It was pretty cool.
So many huge planes in one area. Intense.
We had some fun with it.Played around a bit. Listened to some WWI stories and such. The usual.
It was a blast. And Blake got to see his most favorite airplane ever!
The F4U Corsair!
You Know! Of course its the F4U! That's like...the greatest plane ever! Geeze!Anywho...It was a lot of fun.
We were able to tour the old Air Force One and The Concorde. Very Cool. Thoroughly Enjoyable.Next we hit up the best little coffee shop on Alki Beach before hitting up some sunset kayaking on the Puget Sound!
The coffee was phenomenal. Soooo Gooood!!And kayaking...Holy geeze!
So much fun!And such an amazing workout! But seriously...The view and the sunset was amazing, and Blake and I felt so accomplished after we completed the tour together. We're such a good team! Awe! How sweet!Friday was such a fun day!
The sun was finally shining without a rain cloud in sight! We couldn't have asked for a better day to spend some time on the Sound with out little green 2-seater kayak.

Guemes Island-Day 4.

Blake heard read about this really cool island north of Seattle.
It turned out to be a real estate trap, but we still had a good time.
I enjoyed taking the ferry across to the island.
Neither one of us had ever taken a ferry before, so it was just very exciting.
We drove around the coast of the island for a while before heading to the public beach.
I loved driving the island. I'm such a nosy person. I love looking at other people's houses. I love looking at the layout and trying to see inside their windows while driving by to find out how they decorate. Is that weird and creepy?
Oh well...I really don't care. It was good times.
Anyways...Once we arrived at the beach we spent some time walking around.
We hiked a really teeny tiny trail and then just relaxed for a while.Took it all in.
This is totally going to sound way cheesy....It felt kind of twilight-ish.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.-Blake and Jess.

Sky City-Day 3.

We made it to our hotel in Bellevue late Wednesday afternoon.
After taking a short nap, we headed into Seattle.
Oh dang. Before this trip, Blake and I had a mutual agreement that there will be no other city that can compare to Chicago.
Chicago is beautiful. Brilliantly executed with its amazing architecture.
Seattle...We both agree completely rivals Chicago.
This city is awesome. Not only are the buildings spectacular, but the city is still cloaked in green. We absolutely loved the contrast of nature versus the city.
It was fantastic. We took the trip up the Space Needle and had an amazing dinner at the Sky City revolving restaurant to celebrate our first night in the city. The view was spectacular. And the food...So delish.
My favorite part...The creme brulee dessert.
Yum.
We've completely fallen in love with Seattle from the top.

Pendleton, Oregon-Day 2.

We started our road trip to Washington on Tuesday.
Our first stop was this cute little bed and breakfast lodge in Pendleton, Oregon.
It was so cozy.
So cute. I loved it.
The perfect little place to rest for a bit. Before we left Wednesday morning, we asked a couple of bikers if they would take our picture.
They insisted we stand by their bike.
Then they insisted that I hop on the bike.
Snap the photo...
Then they offered to enjoy some of the Mary-Jay-Wanna with us, to which we kindly declined.
Oh geeze. Welcome to Oregon!
-Blake and Jess.

Vacay-Day 1.

I'm going to recount with you mine and Blake's fabulous little vacation we took last week.
One day at a time.
I hope you enjoy hearing about our trip as much as we enjoyed experiencing it.
Our road trip to Washington.
Day 1.
Monday, June 7th.
Blake had just finished working four 12-hour graves, so he needed to catch up on a little bit of sleep.
I, on the other hand, had a fabulous day of some much needed pampering.

First, I met up with my best friend, Danica for her birthday.
Danica has reached the 24th year of her lifetime! Wahoo!! Go Girlie, go!!
Um....That's crazy.
We've been friends since we were 9 when Danica moved to Springville from Fallon, Nevada.
However...We weren't always friends.
In fourth grade we stood by each other for the Christmas program.
Danica had really sparkly and red shoes on.
I called her Dorothy.
I was joking. Being sarcastic. But she didn't know me like that.
Yeah....We weren't friends right away.
But we ended up being in the same 5th grade class with none of our other friends.
So....Naturally we became friends.
And she has been the best friend I could ever ask for.
She's always been there.
Through girl drama...Boy drama...College years and beyond.
I love you to death, Danky-Dank!!!
Thank you for being my very best friend and happy, happy birthday to you!!
We enjoyed some Olive Garden ravioli and then split the tiramisu for dessert....
Oh, how delightful.

Off to MAC I go....
To visit my friend Siri and enjoy a professional makeover!
Yes...Siri is amazing!
If ever you need a new and fresh look...
Go see her at MAC in Orem!
She's awesome!
She did such a great job!
I left with a fresh wardrobe of cosmetics...Ready to take on the summer!
Yay!!
P.S.---Can't wait for our lunch, Seed!! Lol!

After my MAC adventure I had to hurry on down to The Retreat salon to visit my hair stylist, Christina.
Christina has been doing my hair since the high school days.
I love her to death.
She knows what I like.
And I trust her to try whatever she wants on me.
She's great.
We put blond back in my hair for summer.
I immediately felt so much brighter after wards.
It was such a nice change!
I love red! Red hot red!
I will be going back to red, but I want something that I don't really have to spend much time maintaining throughout the summer.
And blond locks is just what I needed.

I got home late Monday night from all my adventures.
Time to pack....
It was such a nice and relaxing way to begin my vacation.
And Blake was able to get plenty of much needed sleep without me in the house.
Wonderful start for the both of us!!!

Couches.

Blake got new couches today.
Courtesy of his step-dad's, Burnell, best friend.
Thanks Bill!
Bill gave us such an amazing deal on a three piece leather and microfiber couch set.
Hardly used!
Like new!
Such a good deal!
Blake was ecstatic.
We were completely sold the moment we walked through his front door to check them out.
They'll work perfectly for Blake's man-cave...
And by man-cave I mean woman-cave as well.
There will be a feminine touch to this room.
I can't wait to get into our house!!!
Counting down the days!
23!!!
-Blake and Jess.
