Mexican Food and Indiana.

Yesterday was an exciting day for Blake and I.
We were able to finally bring home our little Airedale puppy!
So exciting! New addition!
We headed out around 5pm and stopped for an early din-din at Joe Bandidos.
Best Mexican Restaurant ever!
Yes. It's a matter of fact that they have the absolute best fish tacos on the face of this planet.
Mmm....Freshly grilled Tilapia smothered with lime marinara, wrapped with fresh cabbage and tomatoes in a flour tortilla. So delish. Blake decided to order himself the fish tacos this time, because he had never experienced their greatness before. I pretty much rave about them all the time, which naturally peaked his curiosity. I was so excited for him to experience pure delightfulness. He loved it. As you can tell.
I branched out a bit and tasted the Aloha chicken enchilada...Pretty similar to the fish tacos...Same sauce, different meat. Good. Although the fish tacos are still the absolute best.
We also enjoyed chips and salsa. Yes. Joe Bandidos pretty much has the best chips and salsa available to mankind.Savor that.

After din-din we headed up to Peona, Utah to finally bring our Airedale puppy home.
I could barely contain my excitement during the drive up. It felt like we would never get there!
When we finally arrived, there were three females we needed to choose from.
I always feel guilty choosing. I feel judgmental. But...There she was. Timid and shy and hiding in the corner. Pick her up and all she wanted to do was burrow on into you and be held. Such a little sweetheart. We began discussing names on the drive home.
May...Payton...Annie...Indiana...
Oh...Wait a minute.
Once we said Indiana, she cocked her head right up and was alert and ready. We decided to sleep on it.
And...Indiana she is.

Welcome Home!

The Hill.

Blake and I went running today.
The Hill.
It kicked our trash...
I'm in good shape. For treadmill running, that is...
Take it outside....Outside is different.
Outside has hills. All sorts of hills.

Blake made it all the way up before breaking.
Me....I walked a bit. Just a bit.

We'll see the hill again tomorrow.
And this time...I won't walk it at all. I'll run it.
I'm ready for you, Hill.

Biatch.

Puppy.

One of these cute little puppies will be ours soon!!!
Which one is she!? Which one!?
We can't wait!
Really though...When I saw these pics in our email last night of the puppies, I about died.
I was so excited!
Honestly, I think I kind of freaked Blake out a little bit with my overwhelming excitement...

They'll be ready to bring home on April 27th!

Sunshine.

Today was such a good day.
It was the first day this spring season that Blake and I have had the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the sunlight together.
We played tennis.
It was such fun.
I love playing tennis with Blake.
He is such a good teacher, and so patient with me...Especially when it comes to my mediocre back swings...Although, I am getting better.
And I have my fabulous teacher to thank...Blake!

I loved that we were able to get outside and take advantage of the daylight.
Sadly, with Blake working graveyards now he doesn't see much daylight anymore.
I know he misses the daylight.
And of course, Blake missing the daylight means we definitely don't get to see much of the daylight together either.
I miss seeing the daylight with him.
I miss him.

We simply don't get to see each other a lot.
Not even close to the amount we would like to see each other.
Me...Working days...Blake...Working nights.
I miss him.

But...there is a blessing to all of this.
Missing each other, that is...
When we are together.
We enjoy each others company.
We truly do.
We never waste our time together fighting over silly nonsense.
Instead...We hang.
We do things...like play tennis in the sunlight....

I'm so grateful for the little things we have together.
Little and precious things like...Time.

Mets.

Baseball.

I'm so stoked.
Now that finals are just about done, I can start focusing on what really matters..
The Mets.I....Am a huge baseball fan.
Blake....Is not.
He is football. All football.
But...WE will be watching a whole lot of baseball this year.
Sorry Blake.
It is what it is.

Go Mets!

Its a House.

We put an offer down on a house Friday.
Heard back from the sellers yesterday.
Their counter was very reasonable.
So reasonable in fact that we may just go ahead an accept and move Forward.
Or...We may counter on back.
It all depends...
But, as of right now...We're both very happy with this house hunting process.
It's been stressful at times...
But nothing we can't handle.
Besides. We really like this house.
It's very cute.
With a country feel outside.
And a contemporary atmosphere inside.
I love the combination. This is the House.

The Kitchen.
The Wood is Amazing.

The Family Room.
Very cute. Love the hardwood floor.

And The Den.
It pretty much rocks.
Completely wired with Surround Sound and a built in bar area.

Say What!?

We'll see how this all works out.

Man Smells.

My husband has really, REALLY good man smells.
Man Smell Numero Uno:
Old Spice.
I love it when he wears Old Spice.
It tends to send a little spicy hypnotic haze my way and I just can't leave Blake alone when he's wearing Old Spice.
Oh my lozzy...Old Spice is sooo good.Man Smell Numero Dos:
And...My favorite man smell out there...
David Beckham Instinct.
Holy Crap this is wonderful. Phenomenal, I would say.
It drives me up to insanity.
Anytime Blake puts this on...I can't get enough of him.
I love this man smell.
Mmm....Man smells..Now if you haven't tried out David Beckham Instinct on your man, I would highly recommend it.
It's Intense. Manly. And its David Beckham. Come on!
How hot is that!!?
In fact...Blake's been completely out of David Beckham Instinct for the past little while.
I may have to splurge and purchase him a bottle today...
Yum.
Man Smells.

House Hunting.

I've decided...House Hunting is super fun!
I love looking at all the different layouts and thinking about all that I can do to make every house we see mine and Blake's very own!
I find myself looking at places in all the homes we've been to so far thinking: Thomas and Grego would love this area...Or: Our little Airedale would die for this yard!
I'm so excited! So far...This house is by far my favorite. Its located in Eagle Mountain on the Ranches Golf Course. We're a little apprehensive about venturing out to Eagle Mountain, but if we find the perfect house...We're there.
I love this floor plan.
Check out this kitchen!
The dark wood is amazing! I would totally keep the red wall! And I'm in love with the vaulted ceilings throughout the house! It also has a beautiful and fully landscaped yard.
We're scheduled to walk through it tomorrow...We'll see!
I can't wait!

Pastels Covered in White.

We woke up to a snow covered Easter Sunday yesterday.
6 inches to be exact.
Every year we have a traditional Easter Hunt with all the grand kids at my parents house.
Usually this occurs outside...This year, we took the hunt inside...Hilarious.
Watching these kids look inside lamps and vases and corners of all the rooms for random spring treats was super funny.
Racing around corners and yelling through the house.
Craziness. Madness. Dangerous.
It was so fun.

We hope you had an amazing Easter Sunday with your family too!!
