Well, that was a First....

Yesterday we celebrated Indiana's birthday.
She's one!
And we both realize that, yes, we are a bit ridiculous with this dog.
But we love her.
~~
~~
In case you're curious, she devoured her doggy cake I made for her.
And we also spoiled her with toys she picked out all by her big-girl self at the pet store.
But, don't you worry your pretty little faces...
This was the first, and last, time that Miss Indiana will eat at the dinner table.

We also attended a living Irish wake for Blake's mom last night.
For years she's been talking about how she wants to have her wake while alive, so she can be a part of it.
So she can give her two-cents throughout.
Strange, yes.
Brilliant, maybe.
Good times of laughter mingled with some tears, definitely.
~~
~~
Blake and his siblings spoke about mom. I read a letter from Jason who is currently living in Chicago and couldn't attend, and Marissa's boyfriend, Daniel, played Flogging Molly's, "If I Ever Leave This World Alive" on acoustic guitar.
~~
(Yup, that's Blake's mom leading away her very own casket.)
~~
It was a great night, and Paula absolutely loved it.
That's what matters most.
~~

~~
I hope your St. Patty's Day was filled with Irish Madness as was ours.
-Jess.
P.S. Isn't Blake cute in his little Irish digs. Yes, I simply adore him.

Mad World-Gary Jules.
